If you don’t have the option of going to a gym, you can engage in plank exercises. If you are looking for a convenient and simple way to work out your core muscles, you should plank while watching TV or listening to music. Plank exercise involves lifting your stomach off the ground as you support yourself using your forearm and toes. Planks can be done anywhere and this exercise provides a substantial burn.

The next exercise you can participate in when the gym is not an option is splashing around in the pool. There are many pool workouts that you can utilize to build up muscles and get your heart beating. Water jogging, water-treading, squats, and lunges are some of the few options available. These pool workouts are fun and one won’t even perceive them as exercises.

The other exercise that does not involve the gym is dancing. You may not perceive this as an exercise but dancing has many physical benefits to the body. Going to the club for a night of fun can gen in burning lots of calories. Make this a weekly routine and consider it part of your workout program for several benefits.

Participating in sports is also another great form of exercise that does not involve the gym. Plying soccer, hockey or basketball will help burn essential amounts of calories and it will also improve your competitive spirit.

Taking up carpentry is another way you can exercise without going to the gym. Carpentry does not only get the heart beating, but it also works out one’s muscles. The bending over, cutting and hammering all leads to excellent physical shape.
